What makes these different from other lip balms?

Most balms use petroleum as their base, meaning their formulas sit on top of your lips without actually penetrating the surface. Ours are made with natural Beeswax, Coconut Oil, Sunflower Oil, Aloe, and Vitamin E for nourishment that goes deep, softening your lips from within. No petroleum, lanolin or synthetic fragrance—just 100% naturally derived ingredients that actually do something.
Are all hydrating lip balms the same formula?

How often can I use this?

As often as you want. Our lip balms are made to keep on repeat, so swipe on whenever you're in the mood for some lip-quenching hydration. If they're running really dry or chapped, apply a thick layer before bed and let it do its thing overnight.

One thing to note: these don't contain SPF, so if you're spending time in the sun, pair them with a dedicated lip SPF and reapply regularly.
Is this balm vegan and cruelty-free?

It's not vegan (due to Beeswax in the formula), but it is cruelty-free and Leaping Bunny Certified. Our lip balms use Beeswax as a natural alternative to petroleum that protects lips and locks in moisture. No lanolin or other animal-derived ingredients, though.

Will they leave my lips shiny or sticky?

    Loving this lip balm!

    I've been using the California Natural Lip Balm for about two weeks, and I can honestly say it's the best lip balm I've tried. I'm very picky when it comes to lip care because so many products claim to be moisturizing, but they wear off quickly and leave my lips feeling even drier than before.This lip balm is different. Even after it wears off, my lips still feel soft, smooth, and hydrated. That's something I rarely find in a lip balm. I also love the packaging! The bright yellow tube is fun, eye-catching, and easy to spot. I've had several coworkers ask what I was using because the packaging caught their attention.I definitely recommend this lip balm and have already told several friends and coworkers about it. I'm a big fan of California Natural products especially their shampoo. After this experience, I can't wait to try other products or a lip balm without a scent would be amazing!

    Perfect Size and goes with me everywhere!

    I received this product for free in exchange for writing the review. I have this little guy next to my desk and that is the first thing I grab when I sit down, it has no funky smell which I like and the hydration of the lip balm does last long. It's small but mighty. I would defintiely re-buy this again and recommend it.

    A pretty solid chapstick!

    I actually really liked this chapstick for the most part! It kept my lips soft and hydrated, I love that the ingredients are all natural and the packaging is very cute! My only real qualm with it was the scent. It was supposed to be a citrus scent, but it honestly just had a strong waxy smell to it. I have a feeling this is just from the nature of it being an all natural chapstick though.
