How do I use the hair mask vs. the leave-in?

We like to use the Deep Repair Hair Mask 1-2 times a week instead of (or in addition to) our conditioner — massage a generous amount all over your hair, leave on for 3-5 minutes, then rinse. The Leave-In Conditioner & Detangler goes on damp hair after every wash — apply 2-3 pumps from mid-lengths to ends, brush it in, and you're done. No rinsing needed.
What's the difference between this and just buying shampoo and conditioner?

The shampoo and conditioner are your foundation — they cleanse and nourish daily. But the mask and leave-in? That's where the magic happens. The mask gives you deep, intensive repair. The leave-in protects against breakage, heat, and frizz all day long. It's the full routine your hair actually needs.
Will this weigh my hair down?

Nope! Even with all the moisture and nourishment, these formulas are designed to strengthen and hydrate without heaviness. Your hair will feel soft and smooth, not greasy or limp.
What scents are available?

You get Toasted Coconut in the shampoo and conditioner (warm coconut and soft sandalwood — your mini tropical escape). The Deep Repair Hair Mask and Leave-In come in Rose Garden (sweet, fresh rose with hints of black pepper). Both are free from synthetic fragrance.
Is this vegan?

Is the Leave-In Conditioner vegan?

We recently level upped our Leave-In Conditioner formula, swapping out honey — an animal-derived ingredient — for Crodamol™, a plant-based ingredient that locks in moisture and smoothness with even better frizz control. Still 97% naturally derived, and now fully vegan. The easiest way to tell which version you have: the new formula comes with a new easy-to-spray nozzle, while the OG has a pump. Also be sure to check the label — if you spot honey in the ingredient list, that's the original.

    I love this shampoo

    FINALLY a truly natural shampoo and conditioner that don't dry out curly hair, actually lather, and make your hair look better. I do not put any chemicals on my body whatsoever, and this stuff is great. I have coarse, curly hair that's dry with an oily scalp, and this shampoo cleans properly and doesn't strip my hair. It reduces frizz and smells great.

    Deep Repair Mask That Actually Works

    I recently tried the California Naturals Deep Repair Hair Mask and I’m so happy I did. My hair texture is naturally curly and coarse, so I’m always on the lookout for products that provide deep moisture and help with manageability. The rosewater scent is light and refreshing and the combination of shea butter and argan oil is what convinced me to make the purchase. After shampooing, I applied the hair mask and was pleasantly surprised by how easily the shea butter melted into my hair. It instantly softened my hair and made the detangling process easy. My hair felt nourished and more defined once I rinsed it out. The texture of the product is rich but not too heavy, which I appreciate. I also love that it didn’t leave any residue or weigh my hair down. My hair felt moisturized and healthy, even days later.     So good

    My favorite leave in product. This is the perfect one and done styler/leave in for my natural curls. It defines and holds the curls shape so well and gives crazy moisture and definition while being so light weight! Smells so good, like roses, in the best way possible. It instantly melts any tangles or dryness right out of your hair, your hair will feel like pure silk, makes your hair super super shiny and voluminous!!!

    Love the scent & softness it leaves my hair

    I ordered the travel size to give it a try bc I have thin wavy hair and I have to say the scent is not over powering and leaves my hair so soft. I would say only downfall would be it ranks level 3 on the EWG site I wish is was EWG or more of a level 1.
